Florida

I get down to southen Florida a couple times a year. Most of time time I go from Miami to the Florida Keys, but sometimes around Ft. Myers.  In particular I look for history, sunsets, and unique animal.  The vast majority of these images were created in the Florida Keys.

With the reef offshore, in the 1800's Key West was the richest city per person due to rescuing crashed ships transporting cargo.  During the civil war, the northern states used the Dry Tortugas as a military base and a prison.  Now it is an important tourist destination with tropical temperatures year round.
