Seventeen frames that cost a great deal more time than that number suggests. Hummingbirds are the hardest thing I photograph, not because they are fast, which everyone knows, but because they are small and they will not wait for you. This is ongoing work from 2021 forward, shot mostly in my own yard with whatever setup looked promising that season. Most seasons it was not.
